Protect the habitat

Beaches are very important for sea turtle populations. Keep nesting beaches dark and safe at night. Remove recreational beach equipment at end of every day. Do not drive on sea turtle nesting beaches.

Report a sea turtle in distress

If you see a stranded, injured, or entangled sea turtle, contact a professional responder who can take action. Numerous organizations around the country are trained and ready to respond.
